Where do I go to get my textbooks?

Answer

Many textbooks are now available through the BibliU Equitable Access program. This means that certain textbooks will be available digitally in the BibliU platform, which can be accessed from BlackBoard or the BibliU tile located on your Single-Sign On dashboard. (Unless you choose to opt out.)

Textbooks that are provided through the equitable access program will appear like this when you search for them on the Bookstore's website:

an equitable access textbook

Your course may also include Open Educational Resources (OER), which are freely available online. Your instructor will provide links to these resources in BlackBoard. (These may or may not be included in the BibliU platform.)

Some physical textbooks and certain courseware codes may be purchased from the CGTC Bookstore. They will include an option to purchase when you search for them on the Bookstore's website, like the example below. (These will not be included in the BibliU platform.)

a text book with the option to purchase.

You can purchase these materials online or in-store.

Bookstore locations:

  • Warner Robins Campus: Building E
  • Macon Campus: Building L

If you are a Dual Enrollment student, you will need to contact your
High School Coordinator to find out how you can obtain access to any non-OER materials that are not included in BibliU.

The library also keeps some frequently requested textbooks on reserve for use inside the library only. Please inquire at your campus library to see if we have the title you need.
