What is the Disc Golf Course and How Do I Use It?
Answer
Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf, is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. The sport is usually played on a course with 9 or 18 holes.
The course was made possible by the CGTC Foundation, Student Activities, and HCDGC. The course is open to the community from 10 a.m. till dusk, seven days a week. Golfers are asked to sign a one-time waiver with the college before their first tee-off on the course, available here and the sign posted at the first tee.
The course is registered with the Professional Disc Golf Association of America. A full course description can be found on their website.
CGTC students interested in playing can check out discs available through campus life. To check out discs, contact: Campus Life located in the Larry Walker Arena in offices G123 and G124. Or call Antonio Sears at 478-218-3391/Anthony Sears at 478-218-3363.
