Q. How do I clear my cache (browser history)?

In general, whether on a computer or mobile device, while in your browser, look for a Menu or Settings button. Then look for a "History" option that will allow you to clear your browsing history or cache. It may also be phrased as clearing your stored (or cached) images and data. Here are basic instructions for several of the most common browsers.

Google Chrome

  • Go to the three-dot menu at the upper right of  Chrome to select More tools > Clear browsing data.

  • Select what you would like to clear: browsing history, cookies, or cached images and files.

  • For troubleshooting purposes, selecting "cached images and files" is helpful.

  • Choose the time period from "the beginning of time" to completely clear your cache.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Open the Firefox Menu in the top right corner

  • Select Options > Privacy & Security

  • Scroll down and select History > Clear History

  • Check the options of what you wish to clear. For troubleshooting purposes, select "Cache"

Microsoft Edge

  • Begin at the Menu button (three-line menu) and choose Settings

  • Choose Settings again.

  • Choose Privacy, search and services > Clear Browsing Data

  • Choose what you wish to clear

Safari (on iPhone or iPad)

  • Go into Settings on your device

  • Choose Safari

  • Scroll down and choose Clear History and Website Data
