Q. How can I read a magazine, journal or newspaper in GALILEO?

Answer

First, check in GALILEO's "All Journals" list for the magazine, journal, or newspaper you would like to read. You'll have to scroll down the opening page to find the "All Journals" link. (If you are attempting to access GALILEO from home or off campus, you will need to log in using your student email and password.)

Opening page of GALILEO, with note to scroll down the screen.

Select "All Journals" link on GALILEO home page.

Click "All Journals," and you'll reach a Journal Search page.

Search for publication by title, then choose Online Access to view an issue.

After reaching the publication's home page, you can choose an issue to read. The publication's page may look different from one selection to another, but there should be a way to choose an issue. Here is an example from ProQuest:

Select an issue to read.

And here's another example from EBSCO:

Select a specitic issue from the list or the current title only.

Either way, after you click on an issue to read, the articles will appear separately, as a result list. Click on a "Full Text" link under a title to read that article.

Select Full Text underneath an article in the contents list to read that article.

Want to be alerted when new issues become available? Look for the link to create an alert, so you'll get an email when a new issue is online for you to read.

In ProQuest:

Click Create Alert.

In EBSCO:

First Click Share, then E-mail Alert.

Fill in the information requested and create your alert.
