Why am I being asked for an administrator password when I try to install the Webex software to a computer on campus?

Answer

You will need to download the software from the Software Center.

To access the Software Center:

  1. Select the magnifying glass icon on the Windows taskbar, type "software center" in the search bar, and select Software Center App.

  1. Under Applications, you should see "Cisco Webex Productivity Tools" and "Cisco Webex Meetings."

  1. Select each and then select Install.

  1. After installing, you may need to restart Outlook for all features to take effect. As a reminder, the new Webex site is cgtc.webex.com.
