What are the Admissions testing requirements?

Answer

CGTC does not have required test scores for Admissions.

Students applying for degree and diploma programs and most certificate programs are required to take the ACCUPLACER college placement test.

However, you may be exempt from placement testing by submitting either:

  • Š A high school transcript with a GPA of at least 2.0
  • Š An official transcript from a regionally or nationally accredited post-secondary institution recognized by the US Department of Education documenting successful completion of relevant program-level English and Math
  • Š A copy of your ACCUPLACER®, SAT, or ACT scores

Our Admissions Team will look at your High School/High School Equivalency transcript during the acceptance process. This information does not determine if an individual can attend CGTC; it simply helps us place students in the college classes that meet their skill level.
