There are a number of ways you can use AI properly in math. You can use it as a study method rather than using AI to do your work for you. You can also use AI to give you practice problems and quizzes to help get a better understanding of the lesson you are working on.  Before you use AI to check and practice it would be best to attempt the problem first then use AI as a way to correct the errors you made in the problem.
