What is a bandwidth?

Answer

A bandwidth is the maximum rate to which data can be transferred. This data can be transferred across a network path in which it represents total capacity rather than instantaneous speeds. It is measured by bits per second like Mbps or Gbps. Bandwidth can be shared among a number of multiple devices which can lead to slower performance.
