How does a switch connect to multiple devices?
Answer
Switches can connect multiple devices the opposite of a router. How switches connect to multiple devices is by using RJ45 ports to connect them to multiple devices via Ethernet cables. This is operates at the Data Link Layer( Layer 2) to allow direct packers to the intended device than broadcasting them to all connected devices. Another thing switches can do is feature multiple ports that allow connectivity to devices like computers, printers, and servers. When a device sends data the switch learns about the MAC address and allows transportation to the specific port.
