What is RAID?
Answer
RAID is a storage data that combines multiple physical Hard Drive Disks(HDD). It can also work with SSD(Solid State Drives) into one logical unit of data redundancy. There 4 types of RAID and that is RAID 0, RAID 1(Mirroring), RAID 5, and RAID 10(1+0). Lets give them short and brief explanations. RAID 0 splits data evenly across two or more disks offering high performance and no redundancy. Next we have RAID 1 which copies data from one drive to another providing high reliability and fault tolerance. Then we have RAID 5 which distributes data and some information across three or more drives and also balance performance and fault tolerance. Lastly, we have RAID 10 which is a combination of RAID 1 and 0 that copies data first then stripes it and in return offers high performance and high redundancy.
