How would I determine if given 2 equations of whether to find substitution or elimination?
It really dosen't matter which method you have to use but in some ways it would be better to use substitution method rather than elimination and vice versa. If given in a form like x=4y+6 with 9y-6=4 it would be best to use substitution. You could use elimination by having the first equation tio be in a standard form. If all the equations are in a given form ax+by=c it would be better to use elimination.
