What is an iomaginary number?

An imaginary number is any number thabt can be expressed as a squre root of a negative number i.e sqrt(-1)=i. raising i^2=-1 since sqrt(-1)*sqrt(-1)=-1. If we were doing i^3 it would be -i since i^2*i=-1*i=-1. If we raised i^4 it would be 1 since i^2 *i^2 = -1*-1=1. Realizing this pattern since i^5=1*i=i so we could repeat for every sequence of 4 representing as (i,-1,-i,1)
