What is the difference between a system and application software?
Answer
There are several differences between a system and application software. For a system software it manages system resources and hardware. It is very crucial to have this in a computer system otherwise the computer will not operate correctly. However, for an application software it is designed for end users to perform specific tasks. In addition, an application software is developed using high-level and user friendly languages. On the other hand a system application is low level and has complex languages. It is essential to have a computer system since it runs from system startup to shutdown where in application runs on demand by the user.
