What is the elimination method?
Answer
The elimination method is used for solving systems of linear equations. This can be done by adding or subtracting equations to eliminate one variable to find another. Before you eliminate you have to align the like terms and multiply both equations to create opposite coefficients of a variable and add them together. From there you can eliminate the the variable of your choosing to find the variable of another. This method is done vice versa if you want to find the variable you eliminated first.
