What happens when I subtract two negatives?
Answer
When you subtract to negatives you change the subtraction to addition. However, by doing this you also make the second number positive. Once you do that you add the constants together to get your answer. This ultimately comes down to the numbers and signs in the equation. Because your answer could still be positive or negative depending on the numbers and signs given in the problem.
