What is rise over run?
Answer
Rise over run is used to help plot the next point on a graph. This can help draw our line based off the slope intercept formula. For example lets say we have 1/2x as our slope. From there we go based off rise over run and since its positive we go up 1 to the right 2. On the other hand, if the fraction was -1/2x we would go down 1 to the right 2. The times we go up or down varies on whether the fraction is negative or positive. This can help show how the line looks once you plot the points correctly.
