What does LCD mean?

Answer

LCD stands for the least common denominator. This method is used to help for adding and subtracting fractions. How this method works is that you would find the least common multiple for the denominators. For example lets say we have 2 and 5 as our denominators in a fraction. To find the LCD we would have find to find the lowest multiple term that 2 and 5 have. In this case it is 10 so our denominator for our answer is 10.
